The service was excellent. We booked an appointment for a quote, and on that date we were informed by text that the service person was on his way and they sent us a photo of him, as well as a link to follow where he was exactly. Eric was knowledgeable, efficient and very courteous. It took 6 weeks for our door to come in. Eric did the installation, very professional job. I'm very happy with my overall experience. I had dealt with Derrick in sales who was very personable and knowledgeable. On the installation process , Jonathan and his colleague (sorry , forgot his name) did a great job on installing the door and opener. Jonathan came back later to install the trim and just recently did the caulking. My girlfriend asked if he could enhance the black door hardware, which he did. Looks like new again. BE CAREFUL! This company is a bunch of crooks. They’re thief’s. Do not go from their Google reviews. I got one garage door opener for my rental property in Barrie 6 months ago. They came & gave me a quote for $1600. Technician took 4-5 hours to install just 1 opener. He left only one remote. During renovations we lost that only 1 remote. Keep in mind every garage door system comes with 2 remotes. I called & requested for an additional remote control. Sandy told me technician will come & give you an estimate. I was shocked what an estimate. Technician came & gave me a quote for $675 for 1 remote. He’s telling me they have to release an emergency key. I was shocked & asked him if I want 2 remotes. His quote was $1185. Can someone tell me this nonsense?? They had my card & charged me $135 for coming to property to give me this robbery quote. Unbelievable, & I was a repeat customer. It took myself only 1 hour to release emergency key. I think these people think they never gonna die. Stay away from this rubbish company!!!

We have just completed a new garage door installation with Canadoor Garage Doors and could not be happier with the whole experience. We started with a visit to the Barrie office and initially met with Jason. He helped us through the whole sales process and after guiding us through several options we decided to order a new Amarr Northwoods door. We also required a new "high lift" kit plus a Liftmaster wall mounted opener. Before leaving we were given a tour of the Canadoor office facility. Very impressive setup. Next we were working with Ellen from the Install Coordination team. She setup an onsite visit by one of their technicians (Jed) to doublecheck specifications for the door size etc. Once all site specifications were confirmed to be good the door was ordered with an expected ETA given. The door arrived a week earlier than promised. We then coordinated with Ellen for an installation date. The door install was supervised by Jonathan with an assistant. They did an excellent job with the door, opener, and highlift kit installation. Post install we have heard back from Ellen on two occasions to ensure we are completely satisfied with the overall installation project. We love the new door but wanted to pass on our appreciation for a job well done by all!!. This company charges $ 422 (tax in) to do a site visit and will not provide the estimate until this is paid. I have never had any company or trade do this. My estimate amounted to over $1900 which meant the job was going to cost me over $2322 in total. I found a competitor to do the same work for $800 and no site visit charge. The quote was way off being reasonable and did not include any dollar breakdown for labor or material. Furthermore, I can only conclude that once most people have paid the ridiculous site visit charge, they will pay the overly high estimate as "you're already $422 into the job".Further to this, it took 3 follow up calls to actually get a technician to the site, scheduling was not stellar.I would liked to have been one to write about how great the service was and given 5 stars, but for the reasons stated, I would not use or recommend this company based on my experience.I hope that others will consider the $422 dollar "up front cost" before making their decision.

I would highly recommend Canadoor to anyone who is considering changing their garage doors. Their customer service was top notch from the very first day we walked into their showroom. We didn’t know that they recommend making an appointment when visiting their showroom, but they welcomed us in and made time for us.When we were ready to place our order, because of conflicting appointments with my husband and myself, they did a zoom meeting with us both and we were able to place our order through a zoom call, it was awesome.There was so much communication, we were never left out of the loop, they absolutely run a fabulous business.Two thumbs up for sure!! 👍🏻 👍🏻

I was extremely pleased with the installation process for my new garage door. Jed and Tyler did a great job. They were on time and left the work area neat and tidy. Jed even offered to sprinkle salt on some icy patches for me.On the second call Logan and Tyler returned to install the hardware and weather stripping. Technician was kind, courteous and helpful. Sales staff was unfortunately inept and clearly didn't want my business. Quoted $9800 for 2 high lift kits and two side mount operators. Wouldn't show me the break down of parts and labour so ran it myself. Retail cost on parts would have been $4800. So labour works out to $5000 or at $150 an hour, 33 hours 🤪. Called their inside sales person and asked them are the numbers correct and was told yup take it or leave it. So definitely shop around as this company seems to have some massive flaws in their estimating system.

Fantastic service. First, there was an excellent communication from the office. The technician, John, was right on time. He took time to listen to my concerns, then assessed the situation. Clearly explained what he was planning to do, what potential issues he may encounter and possible solutions. And then just did the job. Before he left, John asked if there is anything else I think would require his attention. It was so refreshing to get a solution focused service.

The two installation technicians did an absolutely fantastic job however they did identify that part of the installation was made without the proper tools but this will be corrected upon their future return. They arrived on time happy and friendly they took very short breaks performed very high quality work in a short time frame and were quite pleasant. If I could give these guys 10 stars, honestly I would. We had a problem with our garage, door it came up all of a sudden, they were here, they fixed it gave us an estimate did whatever they did but both of the technicians were just wonderful. They were Ryan, and Johnny, wonderful technicians. I really appreciated it, I did because you don’t get this kind of service with all services that sometimes you may have to call. They did a great job. There’s nothing more I can say we’re very happy. I wouldn’t think twice about having them back here. Thank you.

From the minute we walked in the door at their showroom we could see and feel these guys where different, they were very friendly and courteous. We sat down with Jason and we worked out what we wanted, he was very professional and knowledgeable about their products. We were told it would be about 4 to 6 weeks before install could begin, however we got a call with in 4 weeks that they where ready to start the install of the doors. We sorted a mutual day for installation and for 2 days later for the install of the aluminium capping and weather stripping. Jed and Johnathon H were the 2 techs that came to install the doors and boy do they know their job. They did an amazing job installing the doors and kept the job site spotless and were extremely friendly guys. 2 day later Johnathon C turned up to install the Aluminium Capping and weather stripping and boy what neat and great job he did, he too left the job site spotless. My wife and I can only give 100% praise for this company and their team if you want garage doors installed this is the team to do it.

I am revising my review since having Canadoor perform some services for me at my house last week. The services included replacing a garage door opener and replacing two counterbalance cables. The technician's work was excellent - definitely 5 star worthy, which is why I immediately gave him a 5-star review when he requested it from me. After the job was completed, I was told that I'd have to wait a few days before getting a copy of my invoice. I expected that when I'd receive an invoice where I paid about $2650 for services, that I would receive an itemized listing of what I paid for specific parts, materials, and labour. Instead, the invoice is itemized to simply say quantity of 1 for each item included and then a total price at the bottom. Not a single itemized cost is given for any items. As a consumer, I have the right to know what I am paying for. How can I tell if I paid more than retail cost for parts or materials, or if they charged for 10 hours labour instead of 3? I called them to clarify this point and was told that their system doesn't work like that. Clearly this favours them not being transparent and makes it easy to overcharge for things by giving just a lump sum total. Did I pay double for my new Liftmaster, I guess I will never know. This is absolutely not acceptable.

They listened to me about what the issue was, didn't rush me through my explanation and then they made me feel like this was something that was an easy fix. Truly an excellent company with amazing customer service and knowledgeable technicians. The two young men who fixed my garage were fast and professional, parts are under warranty.I recommend to anyone who’s googling pricing to consider that sources may be old (before COVID) and that a lot of company’s won’t go the extra mile like these guys will using high quality parts. I look after a building complex in Midland that has underground parking. Recently I had issues with the door opening for tenants. I could not leave it open for security reasons and the risk of the pipes freezing as it was cold out. I called Canadoor for a service call and they arrived within two hours. Zach was very professional. He showed up on time and was polite. There is a $130 arrival fee that goes towards any repairs if needed. I think this is reasonable. The only reason this got 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a bump or two getting the appointment booked but it was more a technical glitch than anything else. Ryan came out and fixed my door. Kaleb was not only knowledgeable but on time and professional. He came the day the appointment was set to go over the options we had for replacing out broken door. Was willing to shed light on what I needed to do to be ready for him when he came. Answered all my questions, was not pushy in any way. Knew I wanted an opener but understood it was not in the budget at this time and did not make me feel awaited about it. When the install date was booked he showed up within the time slot I was provided. He installed my door perfectly and made sure I was happy. The office staff was present to deal with when I originally called, the lady (who I am not sure if I got her name or forgot it… sorry) was clear to understand and was able to get me set up with an appointment. Service arrived within 24 hours of first contact, which is amazing considering I’m about 40km out of their service area. The technician, Jacob, was very polite and respectful of the fact that my one year old daughter in the home is not yet eligible for vaccination and kept his distance. He fixed the garage door and the opener within an hour and even lubricated the door for free. On his way out he left me a canister of lubricant and instructions for maintenance so I don’t need to keep calling. Would recommend without reservation!

Both the service department (MaryAnn) and the technician installer (Terry) were polite, informed and caring about my specific needs.Arranged a diagnostic/install appointment suitable to my needs. Communicated via text then confirmed by phone. ‘Terry’ was very thorough, walked me through what he was going to do during the inspection, then called me back (I was at work at that time) with a complete detailed diagnostic, and a price for the work required to complete the repair.Work site was clean post install, old equipment removed as requested. The repairs to the garage door were neatly done and as described, the new garage door opener is a thing of beauty.We needed this job done as quickly as possible; nobody wants to ‘manually’ lift and close a garage door period, but especially during the winter when it’s snowing every other day. Service and installation was excellent.But price for a 1.5 hr. Of work incl. parts was WAY to high in my opinion.Never got the brake down on the cost of parts and install on my bill.

I’ve dealt with Canadoor and Terry as my tech on two occasions now and he’s been amazing to work with. He’s professional and informative. His work was quality and he had everything working perfectly in no time.Booking my appointment with Jason was a very effortless experience and they were out to see me in a couple of hours or less from my first call.I wouldn’t go anywhere else for anything to do for my garage door needs.

From the beginning when I called they were fantastic to deal with. First I had them install new garage doors. Very professional no mess! I always get compliments for my doors. Then this year I had then install side mount openers. Super silent... best thing ever! The technician John V was amazing. Can't say enough about this company. Highly recommend them!

As always Canadoor was very helpful from my initial contact yesterday Marion walked us through a couple to save us a service call. When these didn’t work a service call was scheduled. Curtis called this am to inform us that he would be arriving ahead of schedule. Upon his arrival he explained what was needed to remedy our issue. Curtis is very knowledgeable and thorough.
